They got the job done(installed used PCM in 01 Dodge pickup). But it was EXPENSIVE. $530 AFTER the $128 diagnostic fee. The PCM is in plain sight in the firewall.
Carman I am so sorry we did not exceed your expectations with 5 stars! I did a little investigating with the team to find out why. Grayson told me you told him this is the first time you had ever paid anyone to work on your truck. With that he said he worked hard to control your expenses and spent about an hour hunting you down a used part to control costs for you. I want to clarify we do charge $128 to diagnose vehicles but we apply it to the cost of the repair bill if you do the recommended service which you did and the total cost was $530 but the diagnostic fee was not an additional $128 as we took it off the bill. Regarding the repair it was not a super simple repair as we had to cut off the exhaust bolts that were rusted onto the manifold, drill out the old bolts, and Re thread the new bolts. The repair seems simple but the expense also includes expensive tools and scanners that either the shop or the technician have to have to do the repair. Lastly the used part was 50% of the repair so the other charge was the labor to diagnose, repair, and then rescan to make sure that would completely fix the issue. I am confident you will not have trouble with the repair as we have the best technicians! We will never be the cheapest, nor the most expensive, but always know we will never fix anything unnecessary to drive up costs. If you ever have a repair that you need specialty tools and can’t repair yourself we hope you choose Kenneth’s to do it right the first time! Be well and stay safe!
